Budapest Exchange Museum is officially launched

On 18 January 2024, on the 160th anniversary of the foundation of the Budapest Stock Exchange, the Budapest Exchange Museum portal was officially launched.

The launch was announced at a press conference by Dr. Márton Radnai, CEO of Ramasoft Data Services and Informatics Zrt. and Dr. Márton Pelles, Head of Research.

This was followed by a half-day conference to present the project and its achievements so far.

The first presentation was given by Dr. Márton Radnai, the project's promoter, in which he outlined the project's objectives and its main events so far.

This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Gábor Tamás, who reviewed the history of the First Hungarian General Insurance Company.

Next came Dr. Katalin Mérő, who drew a parallel between the history of the Pesti Hungarian Commercial Bank and the Hungarian General Credit Bank.

After the coffee break, Alexandra Szatmári presented with Dr. Márton Radnai the returns on Hungarian financial investments between 1864 and 1913.

This was followed by Márton Pelles, who analysed the interconnections between the top 100 listed companies using network theory.

The conference ended with a round table discussion with the creators.
