In connection with the “World of the Budapest Stock Exchange” exhibition, Balázs Gaskó, presenter of the Jazzy Weekend programme, interviewed Dr Márton Radnai (the interview was broadcast on 6 June 2026).
The first part of the interview covers the history of the Stock Exchange Museum project, followed by a discussion of the Stock Exchange’s buildings. Finally, it briefly touches upon the history of Chinoin and Wolf Emil, two companies once listed on the stock exchange, as well as Tungsram and Lipót Aschner.
The second part deals with the history of the first Hungarian joint-stock brewery, Dreher-Haggenmacher, and Antal Dreher, the Goldberger factory and Leó Buday-Goldberger, and finally reviews the various stages in the history of the Stock Exchange.
In the third part, they discuss who the exhibition is aimed at and whether there are any other stock exchange-themed museums in the world. Finally, they also discuss who should invest in shares, when and why.
