On 5 May 2025, the 2024 volume of the Hungarian Economic History Yearbook was presented at the Szekfű Gyula Library of the ELTE Faculty of Humanities. The volume, edited by György Kövér, Ágnes Pogány and Boglárka Weisz, is this time organised around the topics of interest and the family economy.
Published in the section on interest rates Márton Radnai and Alexandra Szatmári:Hungarian Financial Investment Returns between 1864 and 1913 The article is the first study to analyse the returns of the old stock market in line with international practice. Its main finding is that in the period under review, returns of 8.41% were achieved for stocks and 6.87% for bonds, both significantly above the then prevailing annual inflation rate of 0.33%.
