The steam mills, mostly located in Budapest, were founded in the 1860s and 70s by grain merchants. Because they needed a lot of water to operate, they were built near the Danube. Although the majority of the mills have been demolished, several buildings (e.g. Concordia, Gizella, Hung\u00e1ria Mill) in the Soroks\u00e1ri Street area still stand today.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/kibocsato\/elso-budapesti-gozmalom-reszvenytarsasag\/\">First Budapest Steam Mill ltd<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/kibocsato\/erzsebet-gozmalom-tarsasag\/\">Erzs\u00e9bet Steam Mill Society<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/tozsdemuzeum.hu\/en\/kibocsato\/lujza-gozmalom-reszvenytarsasag\/\"> Lujza Steam Mill Joint Stock Company<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/kibocsato\/pannonia-malom\/\">Pannonia mill<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/kibocsato\/pesti-molnarok-es-sutok-gozmalom-rt\/\"> Pest millers and bakers steam mill ltd<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/kibocsato\/pesti-viktoria-gozmalom\/\">Pesti Victoria Steam Mill<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He has also developed the stories of two personalities linked to them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/ember\/bacher-emil\/\">Emil Bacher<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/ember\/stux-sandor\/\">S\u00e1ndor Stux<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Emil Bacher was a key manager of the Pesti Vikt\u00f3ria Steam Mill, and S\u00e1ndor Stux was a key manager of the First Budapest Steam Mill Joint Stock Company.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A T\u0151zsdem\u00fazeum \u00e1lland\u00f3 szerz\u0151je, Szab\u00f3 R\u00f3bert befejezte a g\u0151zmalmok t\u00f6rt\u00e9net\u00e9nek kidolgoz\u00e1s\u00e1t.
