Az 1872 óta a tőzsdén lévő cég már működésének első évtizedében kiemelkedett az általa előállított késztermékeivel (hamuzsír, tu-catáru), olyannyira, hogy a korábbi gyapjúmosó vállalat 1920-tól már posztógyártásra is szako-sodott. Ez vezetett a vállalat névváltoztatásához, melynek neve 1929-től Első Magyar Gyapjú-mosó és Finomposztógyár Részvénytársaság lett.
